MACI HISTORY

Multi Aid and Charity initiative is a non-profitable and humanitarian organization that advances equality for human and support children’s right at all level. We agree that every child has potential that needs to be nurtured. Multi Aid and Charity Initiative (MACI) is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) that originated from the office of Borno State First Lady (H.E Dr. Falmata Babagana Zulum) alongside a technical team of humanitarian experts. This gesture is a part of the offices’ mandate towards contributing to the state well being and livelihood of its citizens and beyond. In the recent past, we’ve had foundations alike. However, MACI varied greatly in orientation and ideology embodied in its principles and charter. Some areas of MACI’s humanitarian interest include but are not limited to; Gender-based Violence, Girl’s Child Education, Women, and Youth Empowerment, Sexual and Reproductive Health Education, FOOD SECURITY, NUTRITION AND LEVIHOOD, Community Health Education and Mobilization, etc.

MACI’s principles include Neutrality, Impartiality, Professionalism, Accountability, and Humanity. MACI upholds to outlined set principles with the utmost respect and urges employees/partners to do the same. In the course of delivering aid to the most needed population, MACI aligns its activities processes, and procedures towards meeting International standards of operation respecting global humanitarian principles of independence, Neutrality, Impartiality, and Humanity.

MACI is made up of a team of experts in responding to the humanitarian needs of populations in distress. And are always open to supporting and collaborating with other actors in the cause of delivering aid whenever and wherever necessary. MACI as an organization with a mandate geared around improving health and living conditions for vulnerable women, young and girl populations has considered empowerment as a risk-mitigating phenomenon towards salvaging them from social abuses amidst others in host and displaced communities. Women’s empowerment affects important developmental outcomes such as health, education, fertility behavior, income level, and so on in any developing nation. Empowerment is instrumentally important for achieving positive development outcomes and well-being in life which lies in doing and being what one value and has reason to value.
