Multi Aid and Charity Initiative trained over 500 Traditional Birth Attendants (TBA) on Preventing Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of Human Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV). MAC Initiative supported some selected primary health care facilities with Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) kits and has also trained health personnel on safe abortion care, post-abortion care, and menstrual hygiene management. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) has been a significant challenge in Borno state prior to the emergence of the insurgency in 2009.
